Music

Faith Training Christian Academy is pleased to offer a variety of fine arts classes including music instruction. Each class attends a group music lesson once a week in which they learn to read round notes, shape notes, symbols, and basic music theory. Students also have vocal instruction which teaches them to sing four-part harmony.

Private piano lessons are offered before, after, and during school. Children who are six years of age or above are eligible, but there is a waiting list. Cost for the lessons is $10 per week for a 30-minute lesson.

Violin

For the first time in Faith Trainingʼs history, group violin lessons are being offered. Students will begin with the basics including music theory and will learn several different styles of violin music including classical, southern gospel, and bluegrass. The classes will be offered after school one day a week for 12 weeks, beginning September 17.

Art

For students who are interested in drawing, sculpting, or other art methods, Faith Training offers art classes. In art class students are introduced to different materials and methods of producing art including drawing and two-dimensional and three-dimensional techniques. All fifth and sixth graders take art class; students in grades 9-12 may take art as their elective.
